Wonderful holiday, quiet hotel for couples / adults. Near to all
other amenities. Breakfast very nice, staff friendly. Rooms always clean.
Drinks and snacks were served to us at the pool for lunch. Rooms were spacious
with tv and air conditioning. Hiring a car / jeep essential to see all the
beautiful beaches. We went in a group of 8 ladies to celebrate a 50th birthday
party and are planning on returning. Views from rooms are out of this world,
the best I've ever seen, waking up to the view every morning was wonderful. |

Relax!
A very clean and attractive hotel. The staff were very friendly and
always had a smile. Four of us stayed on a B&B basis. The food was typically
Greek, simple but fresh and of good quality. There was plenty of choice and
plenty of it! The pool area was clean and always had space for all who wished
to be there. Most of the rooms have a sea view and the few which don't, look
into a beautiful courtyard, a lovely spot for your third cup of coffee at
breakfast. The chambermaid service was excellent and all the cleaning staff
were hard working and thorough. The hotel is close to the town and port as
well as being in a quiet area. There is no children's club so only a few, well
behaved sprogs...hooray! I think that if they did evening meals, they would be
good.
Room Tip: The courtyard rooms are possibly cooler at night. |

Second visit but definitely not our last!
Went last year and returned for 14 days on August 26th. Excellent hotel, very
clean, staff friendly and helpful. Short walk to town. hopefully go in 2012.
Finikas taverna and Muses taverna close by, both excellent, also Alexander's
in town. MUST VISIT--- Cocktail bar on cliff to right of hotel. Great
cocktails with a view to die for!
Room Tip: Ask for upper floor with sea view. |

Brilliant Hotel
Thank you everyone at the Aeolos Hotel for making our holiday so enjoyable.
The rooms were spotless with clean bedding and towels every day, nothing was
too much trouble for the staff who always had a smile on their face. Breakfast
was buffet style but with plenty of options to suit everyone's taste. Can
truthfully highly recommend this hotel. Good place to eat in the town is
Nostros with god traditional Greek food at very reasonable prices, and
efficient service - try it, we are sure you will thoroughly enjoy your meal.
Our sincere thanks, once again to the Aeolos your really do know how to look
after your guests.
Room Tip: Front rooms have a sea view, back rooms have beautiful views
of the mountains and are cooler in the afternoons. |

Super hotel great holiday
Returned from this hotel on 26 august 2011. A lovely hotel with excellent and
friendly staff, our room was 403 looking on to the courtyard so cool during
the day and the sun on our large balcony early evening. Clean towels and
bedding daily and the fridge with ice box was such a bonus. Breakfast was
continental but adequate, the pool was lovely and plenty of sunbeds as most
guests seem to go out for the day. We did bus trips to other locations being
Limnonari a sandy beach, catch bus to Agnondas and walk about 2km only takes
about 20 mins, three tavernas here. Restaurants that must be tried are Finikas;
turn right outside hotel follow signs. The two on the front also Moyeze and
Spitalia. We found Alexander's on our last evening, at the top of a narrow
pathway that had lots of small shops. "Mama Mia" trip a must the 216
steps are a doodle!! Overall I would rate this Hotel and holiday as excellent.
Air conditioning free which was very welcome especially at night on the sleep
mode as can be quite humid.
Room Tip:
Room 403 large twin room with sofa to make a third bed, nice large balcony.
Lovely. |

Best Greek hotel we've every stayed in
The room was on the third floor with beautiful views of the harbour. Both the
room and the hotel area were spotless and the breakfast although typically
Greek was very filling and plentiful with lots of choice. A pleasant 5 - 10
minute walk brings you to the main restaurants and shops and we never had a
bad meal all of the time we were there. The hotel staff were extremely helpful
and friendly and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is
considering staying in Skopelos.
Room Tip: Ask for a high floor to get the lovely views. |

Lovely island and Hotel
A family run Hotel with excellent standards maintained throughout. Very
friendly and attentive staff. The benefit of staying here over the other
hotels in the area is that nearly all the rooms have an excellent sea view
which I want on holiday. When we were staying in the resort we visited the
other main hotels and were very happy with our choice. Less than 50 meters to
the seashore and 10 mins walk to the centre of the Town. I strongly recommend
and will return. |

Very relaxing hotel in a
perfect location
We have recently returned from a week stay at the hotel and could not fault
the laid back atmosphere that made you feel instantly relaxed. The location of
the hotel is perfect as it is near to the sea, the harbour, the buses, the
port and quaint little restaurants. The hotel has fantastic views of the old
town and the pine tree lined hills dotted with traditional Greek style houses.
One of our most enjoyable Greek Island holidays. |

Super staff, super hotel,
super location
Not long returned from a week's stay at Aeolos Hotel. How refreshing to find
such friendly, smiley helpful hotel staff in this day and age. Nothing was too
much trouble and we were always greeted with a warm & friendly smile as we
came through reception whatever time of day or night. As for the hotel there
always seemed to be sun beds available. We were located in a courtyard room at
the back of the hotel which sheltered us from the heat of the sun. The room
was generously sized and the fridge was a bonus. A walk into Skopelos Town
only ever took about ten minutes or so and the choice of restaurants is
excellent. We particularly liked Nostos on the harbour side. Very typical
Greek and we thoroughly enjoyed a variety of fresh cooked local dishes. It is
also worth mentioning that a trip up the back streets at this time of year is
very rewarding -beautiful blooms and colour everywhere. What a blissful
holiday. One word of warning I should mention. The transfers from Skiathos
make your journey days very long and tiring. At least three to four hours wait
in each direction -including a 7.10am ferry on the way home! Take shelter near
the shade of the trees at the old monument next to the ferry departure point
as we did. However do not be put off. This is a beautiful island and well
worth the exhausting journey. |

Loved it -and loved the
island
Have just returned form the Hotel stayed in room 302 -Great room fantastic
view over the lovely harbour. Hired a car for 3 days as the local beach is not
great. The others over the island were great although in the mainly shingle
-favourite was Limnonari. I believe the buses were regular and covers all the
beaches but some have short walk down -and up on return on hot days. The
restaurants in town were great. Particular favourite was Alexander's Garden.
Favourite spot was bar up past the white church on the cliff -keep going up
you will find a small terrace that over looks the bay this had a fantastic
view as well a lovely intimate atmosphere -do go. Just drinks no food. We did
the the Glass bottom boat trip which was great -saw a pod of Dolphins and
stayed with them as they jumped over the wake of the boat -such a site!!! All
in all a fantastic week in good hotel and in a fabulous location. If I had two
moans the bed was a bit hard but that's Greece and the transfer back on the
early ferry was not needed as several more came in as we waited around. |

LOVELY ISLAND AND A GREAT
HOTEL
We have just returned from a two week stay at the Aeolos Hotel (Room 301) and
cannot rate the hotel high enough - nothing was too much trouble for the
staff, especially Marina and the brilliant Rania from the pool bar who goes to
great lengths to make your stay a memorable one!! The island is beautiful and
the people are charming - there is a wealth of good quality bars and
restaurants and the harbour is amazing. The ferry crossing from Skiathos is
worth it to visit this truly enchanting island. We hope to return soon. |

Fantastic hotel on a
beautiful island.
We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Hotel Aeolos and we had a
lovely stay. The hotel is perfectly situated about 5 mins walk by the sea into
the town. We stayed in room 205 which had lovely views of the harbour. The
Hotel was very clean and well cared for the staff were very friendly and
helpful, in particular Ranya the young lady who looked after the pool bar. She
was very knowledgeable about the Island and always had a smile and a cheery
Yassus for everyone. We would definitely return and would recommend this
hotel. |

THE BEST HOTEL IN GREECE!
The Aeolos Hotel is beautifully situated with stunning views over the Bay and
the town of Skopelos. Inside it is immaculately kept and maintained and the
bedrooms are the best we have stayed in over many visits to Greece. We cannot
understand why the Hotel is only a 3 Star - it should certainly have 4 Stars!
The owners and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough
for you. There is a very adequate swimming pool with a beach bar and a
separate pool for little ones. There are huge expanses of lawn for guests to
admire or children to play on, and even swings and a toy horse. The breakfasts
are wonderful and at night there is a good variety of local Tavernas at which
to enjoy an evening meal.
Room Tip: We like the side sea view. |

Lovely hotel and staff,
will definitely go back
Just returned after 2 weeks at the Aeolos Hotel, our first visit to the Island
and was really impressed with the hotel, staff and location. The rooms were
cleaned every day and clean towels provided. The staff were friendly and
nothing was too much trouble. The pool area was very clean with a pool bar.
Just a short walk in to the town with many Tavernas and shops but not over
commercialised. Our favourite restaurant was Englezos on the harbour front.
Skopelos and The Aeolos is a must if you want a nice relax holiday amongst
friendly people, we will definitely go back.
Room Tip: We had a first floor room over looking the harbour. |

Yet again a wonderful
peaceful & relaxing holiday in our paradise!
This was our 4th visit to the Aeolos Hotel since September 2009. Yet again
Marina and her team went out of their way to ensure we had the usual glorious
stay. We had a lovely room in the courtyard on the top floor and had a
wonderful view over the hills behind the hotel from the balcony. We had the
sun late afternoon when it wasn't quite so hot. Though some customers love a
sea view room we love the courtyard rooms, the sea view rooms are in the sun
all day and are at times it is too hot to use the balcony. Our room was
cleaned each day, even on the days my husband slept in until fairly late,
nothing was too much trouble. This year we can't return in September due to
other commitments but we will be back next year! |

Fantastic Hotel and Amazing Staff
We stayed here for 1 week from the 22nd September. The hotel is very clean and
well maintained. We had a court yard room which was very quiet and a lovely
view over the hills (room 15). The sink never had any plugs or shower hook as
mentioned before and the television had 1 channel but we never went to watch
television anyway so that didn't matter. They had Wi-Fi which was 8 euros for
the week, which kept my daughter happy by the pool, although it didn't work in
the hotel room. The breakfast I thought was ok but the Mrs and daughter ate
jam on bread every morning which was a shame. The Staff at the hotel are very
friendly people who can't do enough to help you. Overall we were delighted
with this very quiet hotel and would definitely stay there again! |

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff
We were very pleased with our choice of this family run hotel. It is only a
short walk from the harbour and old town and the views are superb especially
at night when the harbour side is lit up. Our room was on the ground floor
with a sea view. It was quite spacious and kept very clean. The towels were
changed daily and were of a good size. Everybody we spoke to were impressed
with the friendliness of the staff and the level of cleanliness. Some people
had returned year after year and commented on how much the general appearance
had been improved. Good quality furnishings and freshly painted. |

Relaxed, quiet and unspoilt
This Hotel was great, I phoned ahead and requested wine to placed in our room
on arrival, this was done without question. The rooms are clean and
air-conditioned with the sea view rooms having a balcony. The pool now has
loads of sun beds and umbrellas with a pool side bar that also supplies
snacks. If I have to give negatives to would be: Rooms on the ground floor
(Floor 1) would not have a good sea view, as the first 6 look out at the pool
wall. Rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor have no issues. The bath rooms are a wet
room with no bath. I didn’t think this was a problem. The beach at the front
of the Hotel is a bit messy as it looks out on the Harbour for the town. Don’t
be put off by what looks like a building site next to the Hotel, it’s a
Archaeological dig and now a protect site. On the plus side: Great location,
the town is short walk away. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms
are a good size, clean with very firm beds and we found them quite at night.
The car park is free and never full. The Hotel has Wi-Fi which is only 8 Euros
for the whole of your stay. The breakfast is a buffet with loads of coffee and
tea with a good selection of fruit or cooked meats. We loved this Hotel. |

Wonderful holiday
We stayed for 2 weeks at the beginning of June, and were a little concerned
after reading some of the reviews regarding the alternative apartments offered
to some guests. Fortunately this did not happen to us, we were given a lovely
sea view room, which was spotlessly clean with what appeared to be a newly
renovated nicely tiled bathroom, with a shower base AND a hook for the shower
head. The shower gel dispenser and hand wash dispenser were a welcome plus.
Furniture in the room was of good quality for a Greek hotel, with flat screen
TV, full sized fridge, and air con included (nice bonus). We have stayed in
many Greek hotels and this one ranks as one of the best. The beds were
comfortable and each day we would return to a sparkling clean room, with clean
towels and nice clean crisp bedding, very welcome after a long hot day. In
fact all the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The only criticism
would be that the pool bar could be a bit livelier, it was not overpriced but
just lacked atmosphere, it just seems a wasted opportunity for the hotel,
Skopelos is a very pretty island and wherever you decide to eat you will find
the food of good quality. Our favourite was Alexander's a bit of climb but
well worth it. The little alleyways in the town are a joy to wander around
with lots of pretty shops to wander in and out of. As a previous writer had
commented we can recommend the Glass Bottom boat, it was an excellent day out
and great value for 25 euros, much better than the Mama Mia trip that Thomsons
run at 48 euros. Although their boat is very nice we didn't think the trip was
worth the money, but unfortunately Skopelos town does not offer any
alternatives. I would have no hesitation returning to Skopelos and the Aeolos,
if you want a relaxing holiday thoroughly recommended. |

More than happy with Hotel
...we were more
than happy with the stay at the Aeolos. We were first given a room in the
Courtyard that was fine but was hoping for a sea view. Asked reception if any
chance of a move which they were happy to do for me when a room came available
2 days later. I would have been happy to stay in origional room if change was
not available. As previously mentioned Hotel was spotlessly clean in all areas
having been recently refurbished. The staff were very friendly and helpful
throughout our stay. The only odd thing was the shower had no holder for the
shower head so you had to switch it on and off as you showered. The breakfast
was adequate, usual continental stuff with the addition of boiled eggs and
fruit. It is a welcome 5 min walk to the main front along the waterfront. This
was our first trip to the Greek Islands and our first choice in Skopelos was
delightful. There are lots of excellent restaurants notably Alexander's and
The Orchard to name but 2. There are a number of boat trips available from the
front. We chose the Glass bottom Boat trip which was very enjoyable day out at
25 Euros each, drinks included. *** Recommended *** |

Fantastic hotel
Just got back from
a week in the Aeolos hotel and agree with all the other reviews. It is the
cleanest and friendliest hotel we have ever stayed in, in Greece. Although the
Hotel was full all week we never had a problem getting a sun bed. I believe
this is due to the fact that many guests hire cars to tour the island and its
beaches. If I were to be really picky then complementary beach towels would be
a good idea , also a kettle in the room. However, the hotel is spotlessly
clean and well situated for the short walk into Skopelos town which is
beautiful. Other reviews recommend Finicas and Annas restaurants to eat and we
would agree. One final point worth bearing in mind re Skopelos is the ferry
from Skiathos. Its not too bad on arrival as if you land during the day you
may only have to wait two or three hours for the ferry. However on our
departure day we had to get up at 5.30 am to catch the 6.30 am ferry as the
next one was not until 12 noon and would have been too late for our flight
which was at 2.30 pm. Skiathos town is a pleasant place to spend the morning
though.

Highly Recommended
Stayed here for one
week as part of a two centre holiday (Skiathos / Skopelos). Compared to the
hotel in Skiathos (Alkyon Hotel) the Aeolos is in a different class. The
Aeolos is wonderful - very clean and in a lovely location and just a short
walk from the town. One of the best hotels I've stayed in, in Greece. Highly
recommended! |

Lovely hotel on a
gorgeous island
Just returned from a two centre holiday Skopelos / Skiathos. We had
visited Skopelos on a day trip 3 years ago and were determined to return, so
glad we did! We chose a lovely hotel which turned out to be 'better than
expected'. I feel this hotel is better than its advertisement in the travel
brochure. Hotel Aeolos is perfectly situated just a 5 minute walk to the bars
/ tavernas and 10 minutes to the shops. A peaceful location and a handy stone
throw away to the ferry terminal. We had a lovely room (very spacious)
overlooking the courtyard -round the back of the hotel. Couldn't fault the
cleanliness of the rooms and the towels were frequently changed. Breakfast was
buffet style, continental, and there was a good variety. The reception staff
were very pleasant and helpful. We didn't get to use the swimming pool during
our stay but it never seemed crowded- quite the opposite! We ate out at a
different taverna / restaurant every night and never had one bad meal. However
our favourite was Finikas. Lovely food, reasonably priced and pretty views of
Skopelos bay. We caught the bus, used a water taxi and taxi to get to the
beaches. Limonari, Panormos and Kastani were favourites. Kastani was used in
Mamma Mia and is totally unspoilt. There are no amenities on this beach but
from the sea the backdrop of pine trees look gorgeous. We caught a water taxi
to Glysteri beach and saw 'Donna's archway' (Mamma Mia). There was only one
beach that was a real 'let down' and unfortunately it was Skopelos town's own
beach which had plastic bags floating in its waters and bottles on its beach.
However we had a lovely holiday with fond memories to remember it by and I
would recommend my friends and family (already have) to visit this little
treasure one day. |

Excellent Hotel and
destination
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday and had a fantastic time. The
hotel Aeolos was much better than we had expected, even better than it looks
on the web site! The pool area was never crowded and we never had a problem
getting a sun lounger. The girl who ran the Pool bar (Virginia) was lovely and
such good fun. The rooms were cleaned every day, the people on reception were
really friendly and helpful. There is nothing I could complain about - it was
perfect! The nearest taverna was just a few metres away and it only took a few
minutes to walk into the centre - which was a lovely walk too. Our favourite
restaurant was Finikas, just round the corner from the Aeolos. It's run by a
lovely family and the food was always excellent. I would definitely return to
Skopelos and the Aeolos hotel, all I can say is EXCELLENT! |

Mamma Mia!
We have just returned from a lovely trip away to Skopelos. The island itself
is very beautiful. It has become increasingly popular since the movie Mamma
Mia but as yet it's not spoilt. We stayed in a lovely, very clean and modern
hotel called Hotel Aeolos which I would highly recommend. The pool area was
very nice as were the reception areas. The staff there are very friendly and
helpful. The "Mamma Mia" boat trip is well worth doing and it is around € 47
per person. This includes a lovely lunch and drinks and you are on the boat
from around 9.45 am - 6 pm. The only downside to the whole trip was on the
first day. Having landed in Skiathos (the neighbouring island to Skopelos) we
found out by our unhelpful tour rep at Olympic holidays that we had to wait in
Skiathos town for nearly 5 hours before we had to catch the Hydrofoil over to
Glossa and then get a coach which took over an hour and a half. It wasn't
until later that we found out that we could have caught a much earlier ferry
straight to our resort. When the tour rep was questioned about this, she
simply replied 'well you didn't ask'. We felt this was unacceptable. I hope
after several complaints that this situation will not be repeated as it means
you lose around half a day of your holiday and when you only have a week it's
a real nuisance. Apart from this hiccup it was a lovely holiday. |

Lovely Hotel in Skopelos
Booked this hotel through Olympic holidays. The hotel has a really good web
site and hence when we visit again we will book direct with the hotel. It is
situated on the bay a short walk to the harbour with it's shops & restaurants.
Far enough away to be free of any noise. We did find a great taverna -
Spitalia - very close by. The hotel was much better that we had imagined, very
clean and the people who run it were great, particularly to our 9 year old
daughter. There are many rooms with sea view, however we had a room at the
back of the hotel overlooking the courtyard. I am sure this made the room
cooler that the sea view rooms. For Greek standard the rooms were quite large,
spotless and had good decor. The maid cleaned the room every day. Breakfast
was good continental standard and ran from 8am - 10.30am, great for us late
risers. The Pool though quite small was clean, there were plentiful sun
loungers.
Liked: cleanliness, friendliness, location. |
